ELM RIVER JOINT WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT
The Elm River Joint Water Resource District meets the first Tuesday of each month. The Board of Managers is comprised of three members who represent Cass, Steele, and Traill Counties. The duty of the managers is to control dams and dikes as well as drainage of Elm River Dams No. 1 (Steele County Dam), 2 (Augustadt Dam), and 3 (Cass County Dam). The managers also are called upon to settle disputes over drainage complaints by consulting experts in various fields.
